Born and raised in Colombia, Libertad grew up performing, spending much of her childhood at her father’s theater company, Arte Libre. After earning her Bachelor of Arts, she moved to the United States to pursue her career as an actress.
Libertad has built a strong and dedicated fan base, with over one hundred thousand followers across social media platforms. She is known for her work in multiple Northern California films, as well as her contributions to Telemundo and Univision that had earn her multiple Awards.
Beyond film and television, Libertad has an extensive background as a stage actress, including work with the American Conservatory Theater and most recently as an ensemble member with VisionBox Studio. She is also a singer and professional saxophonist, with formal ballet training and a strong passion for contemporary and folklórico dance.
Libertad has earned eleven Northern California Emmy® Awards, including two as Talent and multiple for her storytelling.
Libertad was a recipient of an Edward R. Murrow Award for outstanding broadcasting.
For two consecutive years, Libertad earned a southern California Golden Mike Award®.
Libertad is currently working on two projects set to premiere in 2026, the feature film Meet Mr. Booker and the horror film Apartment 9D. She was also one of the leads in the science fiction short film Valhalla (2025) and is known for her long term work with the Spanish speaking community, including collaborations with NBC/Telemundo and Univision.
Libertad has a BA from the Universidad Externado de Colombia. She was part of the youth conservatory of Teatro TECAL in Bogota, The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and is part of the Vision Box Studio Ensemble.
